I went to searspoint open drags today. It was my first time ever. I was a little dissapointed with my best time of 15.55 at 88.7 MPH. What do you guys think? I'm pretty sure its times to ditch the slush-o-matic. Any tips or suggestions to improve my times. I saw a JRSC atuo civic who ran 16.0 so i didnt feel two bad. I'm now more than ever considering the stepper pulley, ar there any other obvious mods im missing? now i have :automatic LS JRSC, JR fuel pump, DC 421 headers, AEM CAI, Greddy evo exhaust).

Those sixty foot times are killing you but I guess there's no way around it with the automatic tranny.

Hey, here's an idea: Put the car in neutral, rev it up to about 7K RPM and throw it in drive. Then you would have a really good excuse to buy a manual transmission.

Would it even improve my times? I was always told that if you did it repeatedly your trans would cease to work. Ive never tried it in my car but its a lot of fun in my moms ford taurus station wagon, heh.
